Louise John has written lots of books for children, some to help them learn to read and some just to read for pleasure. Usually, though, she works as an editor for lots of different publishers, which means that she gets to help other authors to fix and improve their stories - which is a lot of fun! After working in publishing for many years, Louise also taught university students all she knows about writing and editing stories for children.
Louise lives in an old hayloft in Oxfordshire, minus the hay, but with lots of spiders and a daughter who gives her lots of great ideas for stories. She finds that munching chocolate biscuits is also a helpful way to get ideas for stories. She’s very scared of anything that lives in the sea so was really happy to write a space adventure and not a fishy story!
