Alan Durant has written one hundred books for children of all ages - from picture books to young adult thrillers. He writes in many different genres - comedy, mystery, sport, horror, school story and poetry to name but a few. His titles include the award-winning picture books Burger Boy, Football Fever, and Billy Monster’s Daymare, as well as Dear Tooth Fairy, the Bad Boyz and Gameboy series and What I Did on My Holiday. An avid reader, it wasn’t until teenage years that Alan took to writing and it’s been the centre of his life ever since (along with football!). He is a frequent visitor to schools, libraries and festivals in the UK and around the world performing, giving talks and running writing workshops. He is married with three children and lives in Brighton.
